Author Guidelines

Conditions for submission

As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify the submission's compliance with all items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be returned to the authors.

  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • Include in the metadata and cover letter, the complete information of all authors, with respective e-mails, institutions / affiliations and ORCID.
  • The authors are listed on the title page.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors.
  • URLs and DOI for references were provided when possible.
  • The text is in 1.5 space; uses a 12-point font; ; figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
  • Abstract contains between 150 and 300 words.
  • The cover letter included the names and institutional email addresses of at least 3 potential reviewers.
  • It included the approval of the Ethics Committee for studies involving human beings, including studies with questionnaires. Likewise, in the case of studies with experimental animals and / or genetically modified organisms, the authors must include in the declaration, under their full responsibility, that the work is authorized by the Ethics and / or Biosafety Committees and / or the Ethics Committee in Research, along with the process approval number.

  1. Insert title; abstract and keywords in Portuguese and English (English and Portuguese);
  2. Insert name, affiliations and ORCID of all authors and co-authors;
  3. Select the language of the manuscript.

Guidelines for Authors

Focus and Scope

The Engineering & Technology Scientific Journal is an annual publication with a continuous flow of original and unpublished works related to Engineering, Technology, Exact and Earth Sciences.

The following are accepted for publication:

a) Unpublished Scientific Articles (maximum of 4,000 words, excluding abstracts, figures/tables and references);

b) Reviews, should address the current state of knowledge on a particular subject through the analysis and discussion of already published information, and should include critical comments and a conclusion (maximum 5,000 words, excluding abstracts, figures/tables and references);

c) Editorials are short articles, only at the invitation of the editor-in-chief. peer review This journal operates on a double-blind review process.

Presentation of the Manuscript

a) The manuscript must be sent in a format compatible with a Word text editor, in Times New Roman 12 font, in A4 size (21 x 29.7 cm), without watermark;

b) The Abstract must contain between 200 and 300 words;

c) Use only abbreviations of International System (SI) units. Unconventional abbreviations should be spelled out in full when they first appear in the text;

Tables and figures must be numbered independently, sequentially, with Arabic numerals, and must be included in the text.

Conclusions

Acknowledgment(s): Optional item. Authors should list all funding sources in the Acknowledgments section. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the designation of their sponsors.

References: They must be organized in alphabetical order, justified alignment, according to the American Psychological Association (APA) standard. Journal titles must be complete and not abbreviated, without the place of publication. Avoid literature from the Annals of Events (abstracts), Theses and Dissertations. The article must have at least 20 references.
